FIELD OF APPLICATION
The inner and outer rings and also the rollers of a tapered roller bearing are conical. They are therefore suitable for transmitting both radial and axial loads. Single-row tapered roller bearings can only be loaded axially in one direction and must be balanced by a counteracting force. The bearings are usually separable, outer ring and inner ring with roller set.
